Myofascial Release

Nadia Hlibka is trained in The John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach® which is considered to be the ultimate therapy that is safe, gentle and consistently effective in producing results that last.

Fascia covers every organ and muscle in the body.  If the fibers are locked and tissue cannot move freely,  it can cause an array of symptoms including ongoing neck pain, back pain, pelvic pain, sciatica, migraines, disk problems, jaw pain (TMJ), and carpal tunnel. It can be used to relieve symptoms of Fibromyalgia, adhesions, sports injuries, Scoliosis, Neurological Dysfunction, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Sciatica, Women’s Health Issues, and Myofascial Pain Syndrome.

Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create fascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.)

Traditional physical, occupational and massage therapy treat the symptoms caused by the pressure of the locked system of the fascial tissue.  Unless the network of fibrous tissue is gently unlocked symptoms are only temporary relieved,  never seeming to get better with traditional therapies.

Nadia evaluates each client and creates a customized therapy approach to bring relief from this often painful issue. While Myofascial Release is not intended to cure any medial condition, it has brought relief to many.  For further information, visit John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach®.
